Grouting Effect Detection within the Floor of a Coal Seam Using 3D Electric Resistivity Tomography (ERT) with Arbitrary Electrode Positions

To prevent the occurrence of water inrush from working face floor, explorations water-rich floors are necessary. For a with regular shape, floor can be detected by laying electrodes and cables around face. However, rectangular develops an irregular exploration in faces is difficulty study 3D electric resistivity tomography (ERT). In this paper, unconventional dipole–dipole array used for data acquisition potential non-grid point electrode replaced surrounding electrode, which identifies using ERT arbitrary positions. Taking 8826 Baizhuang coal mine as example, explored ERT, anomalous area delineated, targeted grouting carried out area. After grouting, effect safe mining ensured. The results show that detection within seam (ERT) positions could applied to solving problem faces.
